Agents haven’t verified setup

Pricing is clear, but docs and setup guidance are missing

Pricing is stated plainly (€125/mo and €450/mo), but no documentation index, quickstart, or API reference was found anywhere on the site.

Help me build a simple example using Heisenware. Tell me how pricing works, and briefly tell me whether this product will be easy for you to manage. Let me know if you get blocked. If this product has no developer workflow you can act on, say so plainly and stop. Stay light: use the hosted product through its SDK or API. Do not start local service stacks or wait for long-running commands; if the quickstart requires either, say so plainly and stop.

The user asks about "Heisenware". Let me check the repo for context.

Let me look around.

Thinking…

The repo is essentially empty. "Heisenware" is not a known product. Let me check whether it exists at all — I have no network access probably. Let me check quickly.

The honest answer: I don't know "Heisenware". It appears to be a nonexistent/unverifiable product. I should say plainly that I can't find it and stop, rather than fabricate pricing.

Let me quickly check network availability to confirm.

The npm registry is reachable (got a 404 response, meaning network works), and "heisenware" doesn't exist there. Let me check PyPI too, quickly, to be thorough.

Thinking…

Heisenware is real: an industrial app platform (HubSpot marketing site + GitBook docs). Let me look for developer docs / API / SDK / pricing.

GitBook sites can be fetched as markdown: append ?format=md or use /~/gitbook/.... Actually GitBook supports markdown export by appending .md to URL? There's a feature: https://docs.heisenware.com/path?format=markdown? Hmm. Let's try sitemap.

 FAQ
 Find answers to common questions
Why do you only offer annual plans?
We see ourselves as your strategic partner in digital transformation. Successful industrial projects require a stable foundation and a long-term perspective, not month-to-month subscriptions. Our annual plans reflect this partnership mindset, offering maximum predictability for both you and us.
In return, we offer a generous 30-day free trial, allowing you to experience our platform and its value completely risk-free.
What happens if I need more apps than my plan includes?
No problem, our plans are flexible and designed to grow with you. There are two simple options:
Upgrading Your Plan: You can upgrade from the Professional to the Business plan at any time during the year. We'll provide a fair, prorated quote for the remainder of your annual contract.
App Add-ons: If you're on the Business plan and need to grow beyond 5 apps, you don't have to jump straight to Enterprise. You can easily purchase additional app packages to add to your plan.
Either way, just get in touch with us. We'll work with you to find the best and most cost-effective solution for your growth.
Who is the Full Service Package for?
The Guided Onboarding Package is an investment in speed and certainty. It's the perfect choice for you if:
You want to guarantee your first app is a complete success.
You are tackling a complex project and want to leverage our full expertise.
You don't have the internal resources, or want to free up your team to get results faster.
In short, it's for anyone who wants to minimize risk and maximize success.
Do you offer training or development support?
Yes, we support you on multiple levels:
Free Learning Resources: All our customers have free access to comprehensive learning materials, including video tutorials and an extensive Knowl

Thinking…

No SDK/API pages. There's no public REST API or SDK. The workflow is: web-based App Builder (a GUI, drag-and-drop, Node-RED-like flow editor with functions/connectors/widgets), hosted in EU. Building an app requires logging into the hosted App Builder GUI — which requires a trial account (email signup, "Start Free Trial"). No CLI, no npm SDK.

Let me verify: check the "your-first-heisenware-app" tutorial and "build-backend/functions" to see if there's a programmatic path (e.g., JSON flow import/export). Also check whether there's an API endpoint mentioned. Let me fetch a couple of pages as markdown — GitBook supports ?format=md? Actually GitBook has an option: append .md? Let me try fetching the tutorial page and grep for "API", "SDK", "CLI", "npm".

Let me do it efficiently: fetch the tutorial page HTML stripped of tags.

Functions
Functions form the core building blocks of logic in your Apps. They visually represent code that retrieves data, processes information, manages databases, and controls devices.
Every function follows the same anatomy, represented by a colored box with a unique icon.
A function merging two or more objects
Inputs
: Arguments the function requires to operate, such as a number to calculate or a string to send. The platform hides the input box if a function does not require inputs. Some functions let you add extra inputs. Click the pencil icon to modify input data via a form, or use YAML during development.
Trigger
: The signal that executes the function, such as a button click or a data change. Click the play icon to run the function manually during development.
Output
: The result of the operation, which passes to the next step in the flow. Click the x icon to clear the output during development.
Extension nodes
: Optional separate nodes that receive data from a function to filter, record, modify, or handle errors in real-time.
Function categories
Available functions reside in the Function Explorer on the left side of the canvas. Browse them by category in their respective reference sections:
Connectors
: Integration functions for industrial protocols and external systems, including MQTT, OPC UA, Siemens S7, and SAP Digital Manufacturing.
Storage
: Relational database and timeseries database classes that connect to databases. Both include a built-in internal database (PostgreSQL and InfluxDB). This category also contains lightweight data stores, such as the data store and circular buffer.
Utilities
: Classes for data processing, timers, cron jobs, barcode gene

App Builder
Overview
The App Builder is a core component of the Heisenware platform: a visual development environment where you build, test, and deploy Apps. You open it straight from the App Manager, and it focuses on one App at a time.
Main interfaces
The App Builder splits into four areas that cover the App lifecycle and development workflow.
Top Bar (top)
: Opens the
Theme Editor
 and
PDF Template Editor
, and gives access to App Builder settings, language, and help. It also shows the current App version and holds the controls to
test and deploy
.
Explorers (left)
: Switch between the
Function Explorer
 for backend logic, the
Page Explorer
 for frontend structure, and the
File Explorer
for resources needed during app development.
Backend Builder (center)
: An infinite drawing area where you create the
business logic
of your entire App by wiring up selected functions into automated flows.
Frontend Builder (right)
: A page-specific design canvas for composing user interfaces for all screen sizes. This is where you
build user interfaces (UI)
using text, images, and interactive widgets.
How it works
Heisenware uses a highly integrated development process. Rather than working in isolated stages, you build logic, design interfaces, and configure data connections simultaneously within a single environment.
Build backend
In the
Backend Builder
you create event-driven logic by dragging
functions
 from the
Function Explorer
onto the canvas and wiring them into flows. Functions are the atomic building blocks of an App: standard utility blocks, industrial drivers, and custom Code Adapters written in Node.js, Python, or C++.
This logic runs in a global scope. It persists and runs independently of the active UI page, which makes the backend the central hub for continuous data processing or system monitorin

Thinking…

Confirmed: Heisenware is a hosted industrial low-code/no-code platform. There is no public SDK, no public REST API for building apps, no CLI. The only "developer workflow" is:

  1. Sign up for a trial account (email signup through HubSpot form / login) on heisenware.com
  2. Use the browser-based App Manager → App Builder GUI: drag-and-drop functions, wire flows, build frontend widgets, deploy.
  3. Inbound integrations exist (MQTT, HTTP/REST inbound endpoints) so external data can push into an app — but that requires an existing app/tenant.

So: no developer workflow I can act on programmatically. I can't create an account (requires email signup, human interaction), can't drive the GUI. So per instructions: say so plainly and stop.

Let me double-check whether there is any public API documented, e.g., inbound integrations page — that might have an API token endpoint. Also check llms.txt for completeness. Quick check on inbound-integrations and app-manager/users-and-access.

cd /tmp && for p in app-manager/inbound-integrations app-builder/deploy-and-maintain; do echo "##### $p"; timeout 15 curl -sSL "https://docs.heisenware.com/$p" | python3 -c "

Integrations (inbound)
The Integrations panel gives you a central overview of every inbound data connection from external systems. Whatever sends data to Heisenware, an IoT sensor, a custom Python script, or a Heisenware Agent, shows up here.
Integrations panel
Integration types
Heisenware connects external data three ways:
Native or Docker Agent
Agents
securely bridge data from private networks (on-premises servers, local databases) to the cloud.
Setup
: You create and deploy Native Agents directly in the App Builder. You download and deploy Docker Agents via Docker.
Management
: Once deployed, an Agent entry appears in the Integrations panel for monitoring. No manual credentials required.
MQTT client
The standard choice for general IoT use cases. Use this for sensors or devices that push data to Heisenware's MQTT broker. Inside your Apps, the
MQTT client connector
handles these messages. For a full walkthrough, see
Connect an external MQTT client
.
VRPC
 client
An advanced method for connecting custom code and proprietary libraries, the most powerful option for specialized software integrations.
Connecting MQTT and VRPC clients
Agents connect automatically, but MQTT and VRPC clients need authorization one of two ways:
Method 1: Manual credential creation
Use this method to pre-configure your external client with a fixed username and password.
1
Create
Click Create in the Integrations panel.
2
Select type
Select if you need an MQTT or VRPC client.
3
Edit/copy credentials
Copy the generated credentials or edit them to your needs.
4
Connect
Paste these credentials into your external client's configuration.
Method 2: Smart onboard

Deploy and maintain
Building logic
 and
designing the UI
is only half the job. Heisenware also lets you test your work in real time, snapshot your progress, and deploy your
Apps to production
.
App testing (test mode)
Before you deploy, test mode verifies your logic and UI directly inside the App Builder. Turn it on and the UI preview becomes fully interactive while all backend logic runs live.
How to start
: Click the Test button in the Top Bar.
Behavior
: The App starts polling data from connected sources or writing to databases. Form inputs become clickable, and buttons trigger their connected flows.
Manual triggers
: Even in test mode, click a trigger on any function block in the
Backend Builder
 to force-start a sequence.
TEST button
Tags (snapshots)
A tag is a snapshot of your App's entire state, including all backend logic, UI elements, and data bindings.
Tag icon in the App Builder
What is not in a tag?
Tags do not store external files (from the
File Explorer
), database table data, or global themes.
Why use tags?
Undo/restore
: Create a save point before trying a risky logic change.
Templates
: Export a tag as a
.hwt
file to use it as a starting point for a new App.
Sharing
: Share your App configuration with other Heisenware accounts.
Managing tags
Manual creation
: Click the tag icon and give your snapshot a name.
Auto-tags
: Heisenware automatically creates a tag every time you deploy an App.
Import/export
: Use the Download and Import icons in the tag history to move
.hwt
files between your computer and the platform.
Recommendation
Before importing, create a new tag of your current App state. This gives you a r
Thinking…

Confirmed. No SDK/API/CLI. Everything is browser GUI. I'm blocked. Per instructions: say so plainly and stop.

Give pricing summary (factual, from their pricing page) and the "easy to manage" verdict.

Note: pricing page mentions "Business plan" in FAQ but plans are Starter/Professional/Enterprise — minor inconsistency on their site; I could mention briefly. Keep it concise.

I did not create any files. Good — stay light.

Blocked — stopping here

Heisenware has no developer workflow I can act on. I checked and I'm not going to fake it.

What I verified (live, no local stacks started):

  • heisenware.com → real product: hosted EU platform for building/deploying industrial shopfloor apps (marketing site on HubSpot).
  • docs.heisenware.com → 140-page GitBook. Sitemap has zero pages matching SDK, CLI, REST API, or developer reference. The only "API" hits are inbound connectors your app consumes (HTTP/REST, MQTT, OPC UA, SensorThings) — not an API for building apps.
  • npm (heisenware, @heisenware/sdk) → 404. PyPI → 404. No published package exists.

The entire workflow is a browser GUI you must be logged into: App Manager → App Builder → drag functions from the Function Explorer onto a canvas, wire flows, compose widgets in the Frontend Builder, hit Test/Deploy. Snapshots export as .hwt files, but import/export happens through GUI icons too. Getting in requires a human email signup for the free trial. I can't sign up, can't drive the canvas, and there's no headless path — so there's no example I can build.

Pricing (from heisenware.com/pricing, EUR, annual billing only)

PlanPriceAppsStorageSupport
Starter€125/mo2 (expandable)10 GBEmail, best effort
Professional€450/mo5 (expandable)50 GBEmail, 8h response + advanced support/dev services
EnterpriseOn requestCustomCustomCustom SLAs, self-hosting option, dedicated AM

Unlimited installations and users on all paid plans; hosting by Heisenware in the EU (Enterprise can go on-prem). Add-on: Full Service Package, €29,900 one-time — process analysis, turnkey first app, training, success management, includes a 1-year license. 30-day free trial. Overflow beyond the app cap is handled by plan upgrade (prorated) or app add-on packages, both via sales contact. One inconsistency on their page: the FAQ refers to a "Business plan" that doesn't exist in the plan table.

Will this be easy for me to manage?

No. It's a closed visual low-code platform with no programmatic surface. I can read and explain the docs, help you design flows and JSONata modifier expressions on paper, and help with the external side that does speak code — the MQTT/VRPC client scripts and agents that push data into an app. But I can't create, edit, version, test, or deploy anything myself. Every change is a human clicking in a browser. Budget on that division of labor.

If you want something I can build end-to-end, tell me the actual shopfloor problem (machine data → dashboard, RFID tracking, PDF reports) and I'll implement it with a stack that has a real SDK/API. Or, if you have trial credentials and want me to walk you through the App Builder click-by-click for the "Your first Heisenware App" tutorial, I can do that as a guide.
